Record Tied for 40th at Patriot All-America
Litchfield Park, Ariz. - Nebraska golfer Matt Record is tied for 40th after Saturday's first round at the Patriot All-America.
Record, a junior, shot a 4-over-par 74 at The Wigwam Gold Course. He birdied the par-3 third hole but bogeyed Nos. 1, 8 and 9 for a front-nine 37. On the back nine, Record suffered bogeys on the 10th, 15th and 17th holes before responding with a birdie on the par-4 18th hole en route to a back-nine 37.
Record is six shots off the pace, which is set by Sebastian Cappelen and Kenin Penner after each of them fired 2-under-par 68s on Saturday.
