Nebraska golfer Mike Siwa earned a degree in accounting during the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s commencement exercises at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday morning.

Siwa, an Omaha, Neb., native, was among 55 Nebraska graduates who took home diplomas following the spring 2014 semester. In his one season with Bill Spangler's men's golf program, Siwa collected Nebraska Student-Athlete Honor Roll accolades during the fall 2013 semester. He also contributed to the men's golf team winning the Herman Award for highest team GPA.

On the course, Siwa compiled a 76.39 stroke average in six stroke play events (18 rounds) during the 2013-14 campaign. In addition, he went 1-1-0 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship. Siwa's best finish of the season was 18th place, which came at the Oak Hill Intercollegiate.
