Track and Field News released the first men’s and women’s dual meet rankings for the outdoor season on Wednesday. The Husker women came in 10th and the men sixth.

Oregon leads the women’s rankings, followed by LSU, Texas A&M, Stanford and Kansas. On the men’s side, Arkansas leads the way with Texas A&M, Arizona State, Oregon and Florida following behind.

To be eligible for ranking, a team must compete in at least one dual meet (using TFN’s definition of a dual, a scored meet of four or fewer teams).  Rankings are compiled for a combined indoor and outdoor season, with outdoor competition given more weight.  Teams are also rewarded for an extensive and/or challenging dual meet schedule.
