Portland, Ore. - Maggy Lehmicke and Izabella Zgierska finished up the final day Sunday at the USTA Collegiate Invite presented by Adidas, hosted by the University of Portland at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center. Lehmicke qualified for the wildcard shoot-out but dropped her quarterfinal match to end Nebraska's stay at the event.

To begin the day, NU's Zgierska was ousted by Michigan's Brooke Bolender 3-6, 0-6 in her final Group F match while Husker teammate Lehmicke toppled USTA Junior player Erica Oosterhout 6-2, 6-1. By winning two of her three pool play singles matches, Lehmicke advanced to the shoot-out in hopes to secure a bid to a USTA Pro Circuit event in 2014.

In the quarterfinals of the wildcard shoot-out, Lehmicke slipped against ITA pre-season No. 24-ranked Duke's Hanna Mar 11-13, dropping the Big Red from the competition.

This tournament concluded Nebraska's fall campaign. The Huskers will open the 2014 spring season when they play host to Creighton on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. at the Nebraska Tennis Center.
