Jackson Leads Huskers in Final Day at Triton Invitational

San Diego, Calif. – The Husker throwers took part in the last day of competition at the Triton Invitational in San Diego on Saturday.

Annie Jackson finished fourth in the women’s shot put invitational as she posted a personal-best throw of 53-9 ¼ (16.39). That mark keeps her at second in the conference in the event. Veronica Grizzle finished sixth with a season-best throw of 51-3 ¾ (15.64), while Carlie Pinkelman was seventh with another season-best throw of 50-11 ½ (15.53). Tristen Sharp also notched a throw of 45-10 ¾ (13.99).

Cole Ingram finished ninth in the men’s hammer throw invitational. He notched a throw of 183-10 (56.03).
