Huskers’ Weekend Series Altered
The change was made to give Eichelberger Field an extra day to dry out, after the area was hit with around a foot of snow on Sunday. Weather is not expected to be a factor this weekend, as temperatures are forecast to be in the mid- to upper-50s with a limited chance of precipitation. Sunday’s game will be televised on a tape-delayed basis by the Big Ten Network, with coverage airing at 2 p.m.
Nebraska, which hosts UNO Wednesday at 5 p.m., is 22-6 this season, including a 2-0 mark in Big Ten Conference play. Illinois is 10-15 on the year, and the Illini were swept at home by Wisconsin in their three-game, conference-opening series with Wisconsin last weekend.
