The schedule has been set for this weekend's NCAA Softball Super Regional between No. 3 Oregon and No. 14 Nebraska at Howe Field in Eugene, Ore. The best-of-three series will begin on Saturday at 7 p.m. (Central), with game two set for 2 p.m. on Sunday and the if-necessary game slated to begin at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Every game of the Eugene Super Regional will be televised live on ESPNU. The winner of the best-of-three serie will advance to the Women's College World Series, which begins play in Oklahoma City on Thursday, May 30. Nebraska advanced to the Eugene Super Regional by posting a 3-0 record at the NCAA Lincoln Regional, while Oregon swept through its home regional with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Huskers, who won a regional for the seventh time in school history and for the first time since 2002, are making their first appearance in an NCAA Super Regional, as the NCAA did not utilize the regional-super regional format until the 2005 season. Nebraska has already faced Oregon this season, with the Ducks earning an 11-2, six-inning victory over the Huskers on Feb. 23 in Nebraska's only run-rule loss of the year.
