Huskers Add Five to 2014-15 Class

Lincoln, Neb. - Nebraska swimming and diving head coach Pablo Morales recently announced the signing of recruits Cassandra Brassard, Jordan Ehly, Aimee Fischer, Francesca Giganti and Amanda Moran for the 2014-15 season.

"We are very proud of our Fall 2013 signee list and very excited that they will be Huskers in 2014," Morales said. "Each brings an ideal mix of outstanding accomplishments and high improvement potential. Beyond what they bring to the program athletically, they will add great character, strong work ethic, motivation and sense of team. They are a perfect fit to a team of strong character, work ethic - in the pool and classroom, team unity and community involvement."

Cassandra Brassard

Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Brassard is a backstroke and middle-distance freestyle swimmer. She was a top-10 finisher at the 2013 Canadian Summer Nationals in the 50 back, 100 back and 800 free. In an interview with the Las Cruces Sun-News, Ehly commented about her decision to join the Huskers, saying, "I've always wanted to get a scholarship to a big D-I school for swimming. The fact that I've reached that goal is unbelievable."
