Huskers Welcome the Cowgirls and Redhawks To Lincoln
The Huskers are set to host Wyoming on Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m. and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, March 9 at 11 a.m. in Lincoln, Neb. at the Nebraska Tennis Center. Nebraska sits at 6-4 overall after a split weekend last week with a 5-2 loss to Drake and a 7-0 win over Colorado State. Nebraska and Wyoming have met 12 times throughout history with Nebraska sweeping the series 12-0. NU has never faced Miami (Ohio).
Huskers In The ITA National Rankings
Nebraska remained out of the ITA Top 75 when the new rankings were released on Tuesday, March 4. With wins over Wyoming and Miami, NU could see their berth back into the list.
There are six Big Ten teams in the ITA Top 75 and these teams are No. 8 Northwestern, No. 17 Michigan, No. 29 Purdue, No. 34 Indiana, No. 36 Illinois, and No. 59 Ohio State. Michigan and Northwestern are the only two Big Ten teams inside the top 25.

The Cowgirls aren’t nationally ranked with no ranked singles or doubles players in the ITA rankings. Wyoming went 11-12 in 2013 and 4-4 in the Mountain West Conference. The Cornhuskers and Cowgirls have met 12 times throughout history, with Nebraska leading the series 12-0. The last match between the two teams was on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2013 when the Huskers defeated the Cowgirls 7-0 in Lincoln, Neb.
Scouting the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks

2013 Record: 13-13, 7-1 Mid-American
The Redhawks aren’t nationally ranked with no ranked singles or doubles players in the ITA rankings. MU went 13-13 in 2013 with a 7-1 mark in the Mid-American Conference, becoming the Mid-American Conference Tournament champions and falling 4-0 to Stanford in their NCAA Tournament match. Nebraska and Miami (Ohio) have never played against each other.
Following this weekend’s non-conference matches, Nebraska are set to begin conference play at home when they host Iowa on Friday, March 4 at 3 p.m. with another non-conference match against Wichita State on Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m.
