Divers Finish Day One at Mizzou Invitational

Columbia, Mo. - Kaitlan Walker scored a season-best 280.60, placing sixth in the three-meter dive, as the Nebraska divers completed the first day of competition at the Mizzou Invitational on Thursday evening.

In the morning's preliminary competition, Walker took fifth with a score of 277.30. Nicole Schwery (247.20), Payton Michaud (246.30) and Anna Filipcic (245.45) finished 12th, 13th and 14th, respectively.

6th - Kaitlan Walker, 280.60 (season best)
12th - Nicole Schwery, 247.20

13th - Payton Michaud, 246.30
14th - Anna Filipcic, 245.45

The Husker divers will compete at the second day of the Mizzou Invitational on Friday, beginning with the one-meter dive prelims at 11 a.m. Finals for the event are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. 

In addition, the Nebraska swimmers will begin competition at the Kansas Classic in Topeka, Kan., on Friday. Prelims are scheduled for 10 a.m., with finals beginning at 6 p.m. Check back in to Huskers.com for updates, and follow the action on Twitter via @HuskerSwim.
