Huskers Move Up to No. 14 Nationally

The Husker men moved up to No. 14 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I National Team Computer Rankings released Monday.

Florida headlines the rankings for both the men and the women. Big Ten champion Wisconsin is the top-rated Big Ten team on the men’s side at fifth, while Penn State is eighth , Ohio State is 20th, Purdue is 21st and Michigan State is 22nd. Big Ten Champion Penn State leads the women at 16th, while Purdue is 21st, Michigan State is 23rd and Michigan is 25th.

One more set of rankings remain prior to the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., during the weekend of March 14-15, to be released next Monday. Only entries into the championships – which are announced Tuesday by 9 p.m. CT –will be considered for that final edition.
