One Husker lost a tough match in the main draw singles third round while several other Nebraska players got in some playing time with consolation exhibition matches.

NU's Maggy Lehmicke lost a three-set thriller to ITA pre-season No. 47-ranked Hermon Brhane 7-6, 3-6, 1-6 bringing her stay in the competition to a close.

In consolation play, Nebraska's Mary Hanna defeated Minnesota's Maja Vujic 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 while fellow Husker Lauren Wagner fell to Kansas State's Palma Juhasz 1-6, 0-6. The scarlet and cream's Lisa Andersson slipped against Minnesota's Aria Lambert 3-6, 6-4, 11-13 as Big Red teammate Hannah Sulz was ousted by Tulsa's Carol Benito 6-7 (2), 0-6.
