Lincoln – Wednesday and Thursday mark the unofficial start of the 2013 football season, as representatives of all 12 Big Ten football programs are at the Hilton Chicago for Big Ten Media Day.
For Husker seniors Quincy Enunwa, Ciante Evans and Taylor Martinez and Head Coach Bo Pelini, the two days will feature interviews with local, regional and national media as a record-setting amount of credentials have been issued for the event.
Fans will have several ways to follow the Huskers on Wednesday. BTN and BTN2Go will have live coverage for five hours on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. All 12 coaches as well as well as Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney will speak for 15 minutes each. Coach Pelini is scheduled for Noon (Central).
Players and coaches will also be doing interviews with BTN, Fox Sports and ESPN as well as with the BTN series The Journey, which begins its second season this October, as well as interviews with radio stations around the region, including Sports Nightly on Wednesday evening.
Evans will also participate in live chat with ESPN.com beginning from 11 to 11:15 a.m. and fans can submit their questions.
Thursday’s events include a two-hour round table session with media, an autograph session and the 42nd annual kickoff luncheon, which is expected to draw a capacity crowd of nearly 1,800 fans.
