Lincoln - Five Nebraska women's golfers captured academic All-Big Ten accolades when the conference office announced its academic awards on Wednesday, May 29.

Juniors Steffi Neisen and Katelyn Wright headlined the group of academic All-Big Ten selections. Neisen, a native of New Prague, Minn., claimed academic All-Big Ten honors for the second straight season as a social science education major.

Wright, a native of Incline Village, Nev., earned her first academic All-Big Ten award as a textiles, merchandising and fashion design major. She also led the Huskers with a 77.39 stroke average on the season.

Redshirt freshmen Jackie O'Doherty (Lincoln, Neb.), Morgan Smejkal (Columbus, Neb.) and Cassidy Stelzmiller (Placerville, Calif.) also earned their first academic All-Big Ten awards of their careers.
