Lincoln – Two Husker basketball players will be among the 55 University of Nebraska student-athletes participating in graduation ceremonies Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Junior guard Trevor Menke and former Husker standout Bernard Garner will be part of the 2014 University of Nebraska graduating class.
Menke, a three-year letterwinner from Beatrice, Neb., who originally walked onto the Husker program, will graduate with a degree in Social Science Education. Menke, who will be a senior on the 2014-15 squad, has played in 23 games at Nebraska and was named Scout Team MVP in 2013-14, as the Huskers went 19-13 and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2013. Menke is also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection at Nebraska.
Garner, who played at Nebraska during the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons, will receive his degree in Child, Youth & Family Studies. Garner, who totaled 649 points and 373 rebounds during his career, was a member of two postseason teams at Nebraska, including the Huskers 1996 NIT Championship team.
