By NU Athletic Communications

Former Husker Lindsey Moore and the Minnesota Lynx moved one win away from the WNBA title with an 88-63 win over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Moore, a 5-9 point guard from Covington, Wash., dished out two assists in just under five minutes of action in helping the Lynx pull away from the Dream in the fourth quarter. Minnesota went up 2-0 in the best-of-five series with Atlanta. The Lynx won Sunday's series opener 84-59 in Minneapolis, as Moore scored two points and distributed one assist in just under seven minutes of action.

Moore, an honorable-mention All-American while leading Nebraska to the 2013 NCAA Sweet 16 as a senior, is in her first season in the WNBA after being chosen by the Lynx in the first round of the WNBA Draft.

Seimone Augustus led five Lynx in double figures on Tuesday night with 20 points, while Lindsay Whalen and Maya Moore each added 14 points. Rebekkah Brunson finished with 12 points, while Janel McCarville rounded out the Lynx in double figures with 11 points.

The Lynx shot nearly 57 percent from the field and outrebounded the dream 40-22. Angel McCoughtry led Atlanta with 15 points, but went just 5-of-18 from the field before fouling out.

The series moves to Atlanta for game three on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (CT). The game will be televised live nationally on ESPN2.
