Huskers Continue Competition at Mt. SAC Relays

The Nebraska track and field team continued competition at the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday as the heptathlon was completed and the track and field events began in Walnut, Calif.

At the California Invite Combined Events, Melissa-Maree Farrington finished sixth in the A section, posting 5,215 points. She started the day with a leap of 19-2 3/4 (5.86) in the long jump, before a throw of 110-9 (33.77) in the javelin and finished the day with a time of 2:25.29 in the 800 meters.

At the Mt. SAC Relays, Anne Martin finished 14th with 5,521 points. She started the day with a leap of 19-4 ¾ (5.91) in the long jump before a throw of 133-1 ¾ (40.58) in the javelin and closed the day with a time of 2:21.87 in the 800 meters.

Continuing action on the track at the Mt. SAC Relays, Anna Peer posted a time of 36:46.06 in the 10,000 meters silver elite section. Matthew Bloch posted a time of 31:31.42 in the men's 10,000 meters open section.
