Lincoln - Senior Jordan Jackson and sophomore Katie Kraeutner have been selected to participate in their respective national team camps later this month. This recognition for both NU starting midfielders is due to their continued successes over the past season when the Huskers went 19-4-1.
Both Huskers have been regularly invitees as Jackson will train with the United States Under-23 squad in Sunrise, Fla. from Dec. 14-21, while Kraeutner will work with the Under-20 Canadian squad in Vancouver Dec. 11-21.
Jackson completed her stellar NU career by earning 2013 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year honors with 30 points on nine goals and a conference-best 12 assists, which ranked 11th nationally. The senior right-winger became the eighth NU player to reach the 100-point plateau and concludes her Husker career ranking in the Top 10 in four offensive categories.
Kraeutner finished up a successful sophomore campaign at left wing as the North Saanich, B.C. native logged 75.8 minutes per contest posting five goals and four assists. The hard-working Canadian is not only a tenacious performer on the flank but also a standout in the classroom. The Huskers went 9-0 in matches this season in which Kraeutner tallied at least one point.
