Huskers Complete Day Three at Mt. SAC Relays

Walnut, Calif.- The Mt. SAC Relays continued on Friday in Walnut, Calif., as the Huskers were led by a top-10 finish from Travis Englund in the men’s high jump.

Englund finished eighth in the event with a leap of 6-10 ¼ (2.09) to lead the Huskers in the field events. In the men’s long jump, Patrick Raedler posted a mark of 23-5 ¼ (7.14), while Englund followed with a leap of 23-2 (7.06).

Jarren Heng produced the top finish for NU on the track, as he came in 19th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, posting a season-best time of 9:14.51. In the men’s 800 meter open section, Jacob Holtmeier came up with a season-best time of 1:52.17, while Alney Tobias recorded a time of 1:54.05 and Sidney Madlock posted a time of 2:03.72.

Jacob Olson tallied a time of 3:51.00 in the 1,500 meters open section, marking a personal –best time. Trevor Vidlak finished with a time of 3:57.20 and Matt Gilbert crossed the finish line in 3:57.27.

The Huskers will close competition in California tomorrow with the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays.
