Huskers Notch 3-2 Win Over Arizona

Phoenix, Ariz. – The Nebraska sand volleyball team recorded its third consecutive dual win of the season on Friday as the Huskers posted a 3-2 victory over Arizona. With the win, the Huskers improved their dual record to 3-2 on the season.

Nebraska’s No. 3 pair of Alexa Ethridge and Cecilia Hall defeated Ronni Lewis and Taylor Arizabal 2-1 (27-25, 13-21, 22-20) to seal the match win for Nebraska.

Brenna Lyles and Alicia Ostrander paired up at the No. 4 spot for a 2-0 (21-11, 21-15) win over Sarah Seiber and Penina Snuka. Mary Pollmiller and Kelsey Fien teamed up to defeat Allie Cook and Rachel Rhoades 2-0 (21-11, 21-11).

Arizona’s No. 1 pair of McKenna Witt and Madison Witt defeated Justine Wong-Orantes and Melanie Keil 2-0 (21-15, 21-12). Amber Rolfzen and Kira Larson also dropped a match 2-0 (21-16, 21-16) to Madi Kingdon and Jane Croson.
