Playing primarily at the No. 4 singles spot, Tina Coutretsis capped her Husker career with another solid season, finishing the season with a mark of 14-15 on the singles court. In doubles play, Coutretsis competed with four different partners to compile a 10-12 mark on the season. 14 of Coutretsis' 22 matches came at the No. 2 position with fellow senior Ann Flannery, with the duo producing a 5-9 record together.
As a junior, Coutretsis moved into the No. 6 singles spot and finished with a 6-7 overall record and 3-4 in the conference. She joined teammate Frauke Hachtmann in doubles play at the No. 3 position to post a 3-4 mark. Coutretsis capped the season by earning a postseason victory, winning one of the three matches she played in at the Big Eight Championships.
Coutretsis finished in the No. 6 singles position and produced a 6-6 overall record, 4-3 in the conference. Coutretsis played well at the Big Eight Championships, teaming with Heidi Junius to place third in the doubles bracket.
Coutretis started her Husker career in remarkable fashion, competing at No. 6 singles and posting a 26-9 overall record and a mark of 8-2 in the Big Eight as a freshman. On the doubles court, Coutretsis paired with Meghan Quinn at the No. 3 spot, compiling a 14-15 overall record and 5-5 against conference foes. Coutretsis wrapped up the season by finishing third in singles and fourth in doubles at the conference championships.
As a student at Deerfield High School, Coutretsis placed seventh in the Illinois State Tournament. She was also a four-time all-state and all-conference tennis player for Illinois.
