Seven Nebraska men's golfers earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for their work in the classroom during the spring 2014 semester.
Ryan Grassel and Scott Gutschewski each completed the semester with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Gutschewski collected his degree from the University of Nebraska in May after playing for the Huskers from 1997 to 1999.
Mike Siwa was also named to the list, and like Gutschewski, graduated in May. Siwa's degree was in accounting, while Gutschewski majored in PGA golf management.
Josh Reinertson, a Gibbon, Neb., native garnered Nebraska Student-Athlete Honor Roll accolades for the sixth consecutive semester. He also appeared twice on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2010-11 school year, bringing his honor roll total to eight semesters.
Ross Dickson, Manuel Lavin and Nathan Wong also earned spots on the list for the spring 2014 semester. Dickson collects his sixth award, Lavin earns his fourth award (while also earning Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades twice) and Wong appears on the list for the fourth time.
In all, 321 Husker student-athletes were named to the list, with 41 earning perfect 4.0 GPAs.
