Linus Erhart was a freshman competitor at Nebraska during the 2014-15 season, but after two full seasons away from the Huskers, Erhart returned to Nebraska for the 2017-18 season with one year of eligibility remaining. Erhart posted 19 wins in singles for the Big Red in 2014-15, primarily competing in the No. 3 position. He added 14 doubles victories, primarily competing in the No. 2 position.
After his freshman season at Nebraska, Erhart returned to his native Austria and attended college at FH Vorarlberg University of Applied Science before earning his bachelor's degree in international business management. He has returned to Nebraska to pursue a master's degree in business administration, while also completing his collegiate tennis career.
“He is a very strong player who has very good fundamentals and will be a big asset to have back on the team this year," Nebraska Coach Kerry McDermott said. "He is quite the leader who leads by example, and we are very excited to have him back as his experience and level of play has already made our team stronger.”
Erhart was a talented freshman who earned immediate court time for the Huskers. The native of Lustenau, Austria, won 19 singles matches and added 14 doubles victories in his first season at Nebraska. Following the season, he returned to his native Austria. He excelled on the court, in the classroom and in the community, earning spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both semesters of 2014-15, while also claiming a spot on the Tom Osborne Citzenship Team.
Erhart joined the Husker team in the fall semester of 2014. He attended Hak Lustenau High School in Austria, where he graduated in 2013.
The son of Juergen and Silvia Erhart, Linus was born on Aug. 3, 1994 in Lustenau, Austria and he has an older sister, Lisa. Linus earned his bachelor's degree in international business management at FH Vorarlberg University of Applied Science in Dornbirn, Austria. Erhart is a three-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. He is pursuing his master's degree in business administration at Nebraska.
