2018: Alex Henwood started 23 games at second base and made 31 appearances overall • Batted .232 (19-for-82) with four doubles, one home run, eight RBIs and 12 runs scored, while going 3-for-3 on stolen bases • Recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 64 assists (tied for third-most on the team) and 46 putouts • Had five multi-hit performances • Went 2-for-2 with one run scored at Illinois on May 18 • Had a hit in each of the last two games of the Indiana series with a double and an RBI on May 12 • Went 4-for-7 during the Maryland series with one home run, one stolen base, two doubles, two RBIs and four runs scored • First career home run came on May 5 against Maryland as part of a 2-for-4 day with a stolen base, two RBIs and three runs scored • Went 3-for-6 during the Nevada series with one RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base in the two games he played • Made his first career start on Feb. 16 against UC Riverside and went 1-for-2 with one run scored.
2017: Henwood played in seven games, batting .333 (1-for-3) • First career hit came against Omaha on April 25, which was an RBI double.
2016: Henwood played in five games during his freshman season • Made his Husker debut at San Diego on Feb. 26 as a pinch hitter and drew a walk • Was 0-for-2 and scored his lone run of the season against Loyola Marymount on March 11.
Before Nebraska: Henwood joined the Huskers from Appleton North High School in Wisconsin • Tabbed as the No. 2 shortstop prospect in the state of Wisconsin and the No. 9 overall player by Perfect Game • Ranked as a top 500 overall player in the country and the No. 120 shortstop nationally by Perfect Game • Earned 2014 underclass high-honorable mention All-America honors from Perfect Game • Was selected for all-tournament honors at the 2014 Perfect Game WWBA Kernels Foundation Championships while playing for the GRB Easton Rays • Competed at the 2013 Perfect Game WWBA Underclass World Championships for the St. Louis Pirates • Hit .427 as a senior with three doubles, three triples, one home run, 39 runs scored, 18 RBIs and 25 stolen bases • Was named 2015 Post-Crescent Media Athlete of the Year in baseball • Was a four-time all-conference selection and earned first-team all-state honors in 2015 • Hit for the cycle and had four RBIs in a five-inning game against Neenah High School on May 27, 2015.
