Outdoor: Placed 23rd in the discus at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a toss of 161-1 (49.10m)…finished seventh at the Big Ten Championships in the discus with a heave of 187-4 (57.11m)…set a PR in the discus at the NCAA West Preliminary round with a toss of 188-1 (57.32m)…posted second place finishes in the discus at both the Nebraska Invitational and Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Invitational.

Indoor: Redshirted.

Outdoor: Finished 10th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the discus with a mark of 175-5 (53.46m)...placed second with a season best of 177-1 (53.99m) at the Nebraska Invitational...placed 32nd at the NCAA West Preliminary Round at 172-3 (52.50m).

2016 (Freshman)
Indoor: Set a shot put personal best of 54-10 (16.71m) to place sixth at the Nebraska Tune-Up...competed in five meets. 

Outdoor: Set an outdoor season best of 185-5 (56.53m) in the discus at the Nebraska Invitational...competed in the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing in seventh place in the discus with a mark of 177-10 (54.20m) to qualify for the NCAA West Preliminary Round...also finished 19th in the shot put at the conference meet with a season-best throw of 51-7 3/4 (15.74m).

Before Nebraska

Attended Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Mo., and is also a defensive lineman for the Husker football a senior, helped lead Blue Springs to a Class 5 Missouri State Championship title, capturing first-place finishes in shot put and discus in the process...had a throw of 214-4 in the discus as a senior, the best prep mark in the nation in 2015 and two feet better than his top throw in 2014, which then ranked best in the nation...was the Kansas City Star All-Metro track and field boys athlete of the year in 2015...was a two-time state champion in the discus...on the football field, was recognized as the Missouri Coaches Association Class 6 Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, and earned the prestigious Buck Buchanan Award...was a Class 6 all-state pick for the second straight year and earned All-Metro honors from the Kansas City Star.

Born Aug. 22, 1996...son of Carl and Tracy Davis...has a twin brother, Khalil, who is also on the Nebraska track and field and football the older of the twins by five minutes...major is psychology.
