2017-18: outlook
Rok comes into this season looking to make an impact after not being eligible until January of 2017. Coming off of a redshirt sophomore season, Rok will continue to compete at a high level in doubles, as well as singles.
“He is a very hard-working guy who continues to develop in our program. We expect Rok to push for a starting spot in the lineup. Hopefully he can contribute to our doubles lineup with his aggressive serve and good sense of the doubles court.” Coach Kerry McDermott said.

2016-17: Redshirt Sophomore

Redshirt sophomore Rok Krizaj debuted for the Huskers in 2016-17, picking up a doubles victory along the way with teammate Tomislav Antoljak. Krizaj was not eligible until January 2017 and picked up his doubles victory in Big Ten play. 

Off the court, Krizaj excelled in the classroom and was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Academic All-Big Ten, Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll, and received the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award. 

2015-16: Redshirt
Krizaj joined the Nebraska men's tennis program prior to the start of the spring semester. He redshirted in his first season with the Huskers. He enjoyed a strong start academically, posting a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring of 2016 to earn a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

Before Nebraska
Krizaj came to Nebraska from the University of Ljubljana. In Slovenia, Krizaj was a two-time national champion in the 16 and under category in singles and doubles action. He added a Slovenian national title in singles as an 18 and under competitor. Krizaj was also a two-time national doubles champion in the U18 division.

He was named the Best Young Player in Slovenia in 2013. Krizaj said he chose to come to Nebraska because of the outstanding athletic and academic programs.

Personal
The son of Igor and Tjasa Krizaj, Rok was born on Jan. 28, 1996, in Sempeter Pri Gorici. Rok has a younger sister, Julija, 19. He is majoring in management in the college of business administration and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2017. He owns a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA and is a three-time selection to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
