2017-18: Junior
Rok Krizaj earned playing time in 2017-18, including Big Ten singles matches at No. 12 Michigan and against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament. In doubles competition, Krizaj played three matches in the spring, teaming up with Jon Meyer, William Grattan-Smith and Isaac Nortey.

In the classroom, Krizaj continued his tremendous success, earning Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten honors for the second straight season in 2018. The Slovenian was also the only Nebraska men's tennis player to be named a 2018 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award recipient. The award is inspired by tennis legend Arthur Ashe Jr., and recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom as well as athletic competition.

2016-17: Sophomore
Krizaj debuted for the Huskers in 2016-17, picking up a doubles victory with Tomislav Antoljak. Krizaj was not eligible until January 2017 and picked up his doubles victory in Big Ten play. He went 0-8 in singles play, including 0-5 in Big Ten action. 

Off the court, Krizaj excelled in the classroom and was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar while claiming academic All-Big Ten honors. He was also a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2017, after earning an Artur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award. 

2015-16: Redshirt
Krizaj joined the Husker program prior to the start of the spring semester. He redshirted in his first season to adjust to collegiate tennis. He enjoyed a strong start academically, posting a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring of 2016 to earn a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

Before Nebraska
Krizaj came to Nebraska from the University of Ljubljana. In Slovenia, Krizaj was a two-time national champion in the 16 and under category in singles and doubles action. He added a Slovenian national title in singles as an 18 and under competitor. Krizaj was also a two-time national doubles champion in the U18 division.

He was named the Best Young Player in Slovenia in 2013. Krizaj said he chose to come to Nebraska because of the outstanding athletic and academic programs.

Personal
The son of Igor and Tjasa Krizaj, Rok was born on Jan. 28, 1996, in Sempeter Pri Gorici. Rok has a younger sister, Julija. He is majoring in management in the college of business administration and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2017 and 2018. He is a two-time academic All-Big Ten selection. He is a five-time selection to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
