Tomislav Antoljak returned as one of Nebraska's most experienced players in 2017, despite being a true sophomore in the Husker lineup. Antoljak picked up seven singles wins and three doubles victories on the season. Antoljak played in the heart of the Nebraska's singles lineup this season, competing 18 times in the top three positions. Antoljak's doubles performance was spread out amongst five different teammates, his best performance coming with teammate Chris Dean. The duo won two matches together.
Off the court, Antoljak was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Academic All-Big Ten, and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Antoljak produced an 11-14 overall record as a freshman, including an 11-11 mark during the spring. He went 3-6 in singles action against Big Ten competition.
On the doubles court, Antoljak notched a 6-3 record on the season that included a 4-2 mark in the spring. He teamed with 2016 Husker seniors Chris Schindler, Marc Herrmann and Bradford Zitsch at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Antoljak was 0-1 in Big Ten doubles action.
In the classroom, Antoljak earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2016.
Antoljak comes from Croatia where he was ranked as high as No. 4 in the 18 and under division. He was No. 16 in men's tennis rankings. Antoljak elected to attend college in the United States and chose Nebraska over several other Big Ten schools, including Wisconsin and Purdue.
The son of Vedran and Irena Antoljak, Tomislav was born on Nov. 11, 1996 in Croatia. Tomislav has one younger brother, Marko, 14. Tomislav is majoring in finance and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2017. He is a three-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
