Tuesday night’s one-hour Husker Athletics Radio Show beginning at 7 p.m. CDT will feature Nebraska’s two golf programs, their respective coaches and NU women’s standout Morgan Smejkal, a senior from Columbus, Neb.

Last December, Smejkal (pronounced Smake-kull) earned her UNL Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Smejkal has made the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll eight times and earned a Nebraska student-athlete Hero Award and Husker Leadership Award.

Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst will join studio host Greg Sharpe for the first segment of his monthly radio show. Sharpe will interview Nebraska Men’s Golf Coach Bill Spangler during the night’s second segment. A Lincoln native and NU graduate, Spangler is in his 15th season at the helm of the men’s program.

Sharpe will interview Nebraska Women’s Golf Coach Robin Krapfl in the third segment. In her 29th season as Nebraska’s head coach, Krapfl continues to emphasize the principles of achieving excellence on and off the course. An honorary member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2014 and 2015, Smejkal is a model student-athlete who will be featured in the fourth segment.
