2018: Carter Cross started eight of his 13 appearances with seven starts in right field and one start in left field • Played in 12 of the last 22 games of the season after making one appearance during the first 30 games • Batted .185 (5-for-27) with four RBIs and two runs scored • Drove in one run in both of his appearances during the Maryland series, which included a 2-for-3 performance on May 5 • Went 1-for-3 with one RBI against Nevada on April 26 • Had an RBI and a run scored at Kansas State on April 10 • Had a hit in his first career at-bat on March 10, as he went 1-for-2 as a substitution in the first game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly.
2017: Cross redshirted during his first year at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska: Cross joined the Huskers from Cathedral Prep High School in Fairview, Pa., where he played for Dave Hess • Tabbed as a top-500 overall player in the country by Perfect Game and the No. 117 outfielder • Named the No. 18 overall player in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 2 outfielder in the state • Helped the Ramblers to three District 10 championships • Hit .454 during his prep career with 114 hits • Also starred on the mound with a career ERA of 1.49 and 183 strikeouts • Was twice named District 10 Player of the Year and was a four-time District 10 all-star • Was a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable-Mention All-American • Four-time letterwinner in both baseball and basketball • Member of the National Honor Society.
