2018: Luke Roskam (pronounced Ross-kum) was one of three Huskers to start all 52 games with 29 starts at third base, 13 starts as the catcher and 10 starts at first base • Batted .269 (52-for-193), the fourth-best batting average and tied for the third-most hits on the team • His 13 doubles tied for second on the team • Ranked third on the team in home runs (5), RBIs (46) and total bases (82) • Also tallied 27 runs scored, one triple, and went 2-for-2 stealing bases • Led the team in walks (34) • Defensively, his 74 assists ranked second on the team • Had 15 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI outings, third-most on the team in both categories • Season-long 14-game reaching base streak spanned from March 9 to 30 • Went 5-for-12 during the Illinois series with one double, one RBI and two runs scored • Managed at least one hit in all three games of the Maryland series, going 4-for-11 with a home run, one double, six RBIs and two runs scored • Homered against Maryland on May 4 • During the last two games of the Rutgers series, went 4-for-8 with three RBIs, one double and one run scored • Homered and drove in three runs as part of a 2-for-4 performance against Omaha on April 18 • Went 4-for-7 during NU’s doubleheader against Iowa on April 13, including two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in the second game • Smashed a two-run homer as part of a 2-for-5 day with three RBIs, one run scored and a stolen base at Kansas State on April 10 • Hit his first home run of the season on April 1 at Ohio State as part of a 3-for-5 day with three runs scored and one RBI • Went 4-for-7 with one home run, four RBIs and two runs scored during the Northwestern State series • Hit a grand slam against Northwestern State on March 14 as part of a 2-for-3 day • Drove in four runs as part of a 3-for-5 performance during the second game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly on March 10 • Went 2-for-4 against No. 2 Oregon State on Feb. 24, tying for the most hits by a Husker in the game • Went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs, one stolen base and one run scored in the season opener against UC Riverside on Feb. 16.

2017: Roskam garnered Big Ten All-Freshman Team accolades during his first year at Nebraska • Made 42 appearances, batting .266 (34-for-128) • Started 35 games, 28 of which were at third base • Ranked third on the team with four home runs • Had 34 hits, seven of which were doubles and one triple • Recorded 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored • Went a perfect 3-for-3 stealing bases • After a hitless debut, went 1-for-1 against Oregon State on Feb. 23 • Went 2-for-4 with his first career double against Northern Colorado on March 8 • Blasted a pinch-hit home run, his first homer as a Husker, against Kansas State on March 28 • Doubled and tripled in the series finale at Indiana on April 2 • Recorded his first career three-hit game against Creighton on April 4 with two runs and two RBIs • Hit .429 in the Minnesota series with four runs scored, one double, one home run and two RBIs • Third home run of the season was on April 25 against Omaha, where he had a season-high four RBIs • Launched his fourth homer on May 5 against Rutgers, then went 3-for-4 two days later against the Scarlet Knights.

Before Nebraska: Roskam joined the Huskers from Chaska, Minn., where he graduated from Chaska High School • Was tabbed as a top-500 national recruit and the No. 142 catcher in the country by Perfect Game • Ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit and the top catcher in the state of Minnesota by Perfect Game • Hit .378 as a senior for the Hawks with 17 extra-base hits and 12 RBIs • Also served as the team’s closer • Had a perfect 0.00 ERA with five saves over 9.0 innings • Hit .468 as a junior with three home runs and 25 RBIs • Went 7-2 on the mound with a 1.77 ERA and also notched three saves • Tossed a perfect game against Waconia during his junior year in the section semifinal • Was a two-time all-metro, two-time all-state and three-time All-Metro Conference selection • Earned four letters in baseball and two in basketball.
