Internship Application

The University of Nebraska Strength and Conditioning department is seeking qualified candidates to fill internship positions for the summer, fall, and spring semesters.  Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a strong desire to become a Strength & Conditioning Professional.  Candidates possessing or working toward CSCS & First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are preferred.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Participation in a coaching education program, encompassing Husker Power testing and training principles.

  • CSCS prep for candidates eligible for certification.

  • Equipment set up and breakdown for assigned training sessions.

  • Facility maintenance and upkeep.

  • Weekly training sessions to further personal understanding of exercise techniques and muscle building programming.

The internships available and application deadlines are:

8 week Summer Sessions (April 15th)

Fall Semesters (July 15th)

Spring Semesters (December 1st)

These are unpaid positions, but college credit hours will be accepted if applicable to your current institution.  Individuals chosen are subject to university background checks and will be held in compliance with all NCAA Division I and Big Ten conference rules and regulations.
