The women's team improved its regional score by 130 points from last year and posted its best finish since 2011.

Anna Peer led all Husker individuals with a 30th-place finish with a time of 21:00.4. Wyatt McGuire led the Husker men, finishing 43rd in 31:11.9. Behind McGuire were senior Patrick Letz in 80th place (31:57.2), Austin Post in 85th (32:03.2) and senior Jacob Olson in 87th (32:05.8). Jordan De Spong cracked the Husker men's top five with a 91st-place finish with a time of 32:08.3. Head Coach David Harris stated his praises of sophomore Wyatt McGuire and his optimism for the men's squad heading into the future.

"Wyatt McGuire again led us and was up to the top 30 at one time. He is a sophomore, so again I think we can really look to the future and say we are getting better." Harris said. "I am happy with the men's team as a whole this year, I think they have ran very well together."

Following Peer, Katrina Santiago came in at 71st with a time of 21:36.8. Bonnie Smith was 111th (22:03.8), Nicole Colonna was 130th (22:15.9), and Elsa Forsberg rounded out the Huskers' top five in 145th (22:30.1). Coach Harris went on to share his thoughts about the women's team and how he sees their momentum carrying into next year.

"The women were probably the highlight today. We just finished in the top 20, which is the first time we have done that." Harris said. "I thoguht we ran as solid and competitve an effort as the women's team has done. It is really a good jump start, I think, into the next year."

For the Husker men, Letz, Olson and Matt Gilbert raced their final collegiate cross country meets, but three of the men's top-five runners and all five of the women's top-five finishers will be back next season.
