2018 (Freshman)
Rachel Thompson added valuable depth to the roster in 2018, but did not see action in a meet.

She got off to an excellent start outside the gym, as she was named to the fall Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and joined the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Before Nebraska
Thompson competed at Nebraska School of Gymnastics in Lincoln during her club career for coaches Vanessa Meloche, a former Husker All-American, and Owen Field. Thompson qualified for the 2016 J.O. National Championships, where she posted a 19th-place finish on beam. Thompson notched a top-10 finish at the 2015 Region 4 Championships, where she finished ninth on floor. One of the top gymnasts in the state, Thompson finished third at the 2016 Nebraska State Championships on vault, bars and in the all-around, while finishing tied for fourth on beam and fifth on floor. She also finished third on bars, floor and in the all-around at the 2015 Nebraska State Championships.
