She played No. 1 singles the majority of her junior year as well as No. 1 doubles at Missouri,” Nebraska Coach Scott Jacobson said. “We’ve been fortunate to see Brianna play on several occasions and have always been impressed with her grit and determination. She is an incredible competitor and definitely playing at the highest level that we’ve ever seen her compete. Brianna hits a really big ball, and we believe her best tennis is yet to come here at Nebraska.”

As a junior in 2016-17, Lashway earned a 19-20 combined singles and doubles record, playing primarily out of the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Thirteen of those 19 wins came during a strong fall campaign. The 2016-17 season also saw Lashway and doubles partner Bea Machado Santos ranked as high as No.73 nationally in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Doubles Rankings.
