Before Nebraska: Max Schreiber (pronounced Shry-bur) joined the Huskers from Highland High School in Cardington, Ohio, where he played for Coach Donovan Kline • Helped lead Highland to the 2016 MOAC League crown • Posted a 10-5 record, throwing 90 innings, and earned 97 strikeouts and a 1.79 ERA for his career • A first-team All-MOAC selection in 2016 and a two-time All-Central District selection (2016, 2017) • Had three no-hitters, including a 13-strikeout, one walk performance in a league game • Member of National Honor Society, the Ohio Scholar’s Association and an honor roll student • Earned three letters in football and two letters in basketball • Played club baseball for the Brownlee Lookouts under Coach Ben Simon, where he posted a 6-0 record with a 1.16 ERA and 45 strikeouts.
