Outlook (2017-18)

Isaac Nortey joined the Nebraska tennis program in the fall of 2017. The freshman from Lakeland, Fla., earned runner-up honors in the state in singles competition in 2016. A hard-working and determined competitor whose best tennis lies ahead of him for the Huskers.

"We like the fact that Isaac has [not] reached his potential with his tennis," Nebraska Coach Kerry McDermott said. "His best tennis will be in the years ahead of him in college and past college. Isaac is a very gifted athlete and along with that he is a very hard worker, and a very determined young man. He is just great to be around. He has a very infectious attitude about life, and he will make our team better by having him around."

Before Nebraska

Nortey graduated from Lakeland High School in Florida, where he was the Florida Class 4A singles runner-up in 2016.

Isaac was born in Ghana on July 8, 1999, before coming to the United State. He is the adopted son of Isaac and Annie Galindo. He has a brother, Ishmeal.
