2018: Zac Luckey started 11 of his 15 appearances with six starts at third base and five starts at shortstop • Season-long five-game hitting streak spanned from April 1 to 28 • Batted .255 (13-for-51) with three doubles, three RBIs and eight runs scored • Went 2-for-2 stealing bases • Went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored in the series finale against Indiana on May 13 • Went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base against Nevada on April 28 • During the series finale at Ohio State on April 1, went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored • Went 1-for-4 with two runs scored at Oral Roberts on March 20 • Went 2-for-4 in his first career start on March 10 with one run scored in the second game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly • Made his Husker debut on March 10 as a pinch hitter in the first game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly and doubled in his first career at-bat.
Before Nebraska: A native of Omaha, Neb., Luckey played high school baseball at Creighton Prep under Coach Pat Mooney • The Junior Jays captured the state title in 2016 • Was a second-team selection to the All-Nebraska Team in 2016 and a second-team Super State team member • Was a two-time Regional MVP, two-time Legion World Series All-Tournament Team shortstop and World Series Big Stick in 2016 • Also captured the 2017 World Series Click Cowger RBI Award • Batted .415 in 2015, hit .432 in 2016 and compiled a .423 batting average in 2017 • In the 2016 Regional Championship, went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to win Regional MVP honors and help send the team to the Legion World Series • Earned three letters in football • Played club baseball for Five Points Bank under Coach Pat Mooney.
