Huskers in 10th at Bayou City Collegiate Classic

PEARLAND, Texas - The Nebraska men's golf team currently sits in 10th place with a combined score of 590 after the first two rounds of the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Golfcrest Country Club. Action at the par-72, 7,254-yard course will continue Tuesday with the final round.

Arkansas State leads the field of teams with a combined score of 569, followed by Lipscomb in second (570), Sam Houston State in third (574), UTSA in fourth (575), and Houston in fifth (576).

Jace Guthmiller leads the Huskers with a score of 142 and is currently tied for ninth overall. Jackson Wendling golfed for a score of 147 and is tied for 33rd.

Daniel Pearson is currently the third Husker in the rankings with a score of 150 and is tied for 51st. Rounding out the lineup for the Huskers is Cameron Jones tied for 68th (153) and Tanner Owen tied for 75th (154).

Nebraska will begin the third and final round of the invitational on Tuesday.
