2019 (Freshman)
Sarah was a consistent contributor in her first season as a Husker competing on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise, with uneven bars being her most consistent event. She holds a season/ career high of 9.90 on bars she set at the Masters classic, a high of 9.825 on balance beam she has hit twice, the last time vs. Southern Utah and a high of 9.75 on floor exercise she has earned three times, last time at the Masters Classic as well. Hargrove was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2019.

Before Nebraska

Hargrove is a Level 10 gymnast that trained at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. She qualified for the Junior Olympic National Championships every year from 2012-2017. Most recently in 2017, Hargrove finished in third in the all-around and third on beam. Academically, Hargrove is a three-time Honor Roll honoree at her high school. 

Personal

The daughter of Douglas and Myra Hargrove, Sarah was born on February 28, 2000 in Asheville, N.C. Sarah has three brothers, Will (23), Sam (21), and Taft (13). 

Hargrove chose Nebraska over Kentucky, Ohio State, Auburn, and Georgia. 

"I chose Nebraska because of the great coaches and staff, the academics and the beautiful campus," Hargrove said.
