Lloyd Advances to 60-Meter Hurdles Final

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Nebraska track and field senior Antoine Lloyd advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships 60-meter hurdles final after posting a qualifying time of 7.70 in his semifinal heat on Friday night at Gilliam Indoor Stadium. 

Lloyd ran 7.70 in his heat to finish third behind Florida's Grant Holloway (7.58), the defending national champion, and Liberty's Jovaine Atkinson (7.64). No one in heat two posted a time faster than 7.77, so Lloyd will race in tomorrow's eight-man final at 5:10 p.m. with the third-fastest qualifying time overall. 

The rest of the Huskers will also compete on Saturday. At 3:30 p.m., Angela Mercurio will compete in the triple jump while Grant Anderson and Landon Bartel will take part in the high jump. The men's triple jump, with Kaiwan Culmer, begins at 5 p.m., and the men's 4x400-meter relay (Sam Bransby, Elijah Lucy, Moujtaba Mohammed and Andy Neal) will compete at 6:40 p.m.
