Huskers Place Eighth at NCAA Championships

Charleston, S.C – The Nebraska rifle team finished eighth at the NCAA Championships after the conclusion of air rifle competition.

Kentucky took first place for the second time in school history, outscoring defending champion West Virginia 4,717-4,708. TCU took third with 4,701. Murray State (4,684) and Air Force (4,669) took fourth and fifth, respectively. Alaska was in sixth with 4,667. Ohio State placed seventh with 4,664 and Nebraska rounded out the field with 4,655.

Dacotah Faught was out front for the Huskers in air rifle competition. Faught placed 24th overall with a mark of 589. Samantha Peterson notched 586. Emily Cheramie and Nina Radulovic both added 585. Kayla Gadeken was close behind with a score of 584.
