Huskers Host Two Non-Conference Midweek Games

The Nebraska baseball team hosts Kansas State and Omaha at Hawks Field this week. The Huskers and Wildcats square off Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. (CT) before NU battles the Mavericks on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. The first 300 fans into the game each night will receive a $1 voucher for a hot dog at the concession stand.

How to Listen/Watch the Huskers
Fans can listen to Greg Sharpe, Nick Handley and Ben McLaughlin call the action throughout the season on the Husker Sports Network. Every game this season can be heard on Huskers.com and the Official Nebraska Huskers App for both iOS and android devices.

Both games will be carried on TuneIn.com and the TuneIn App on the Husker IMG Sports Network channel. Fans in Lincoln can listen on 1400 AM and fans in Omaha can listen on 590 AM.

Both games will be streamed live online on BTN Plus. Subscriptions for BTN Plus are available on a monthly or annual basis. A school pass subscription is $79.95 for one year and $9.95 for one month. A conference pass subscription is $119.95 for one year and $14.95 for one month.

Last Time Out
The Huskers split a doubleheader against Iowa on Friday, April 13 at Hawks Field. Iowa won the first game, 7-1, and Nebraska won the second game, 10-4.

Next Up
The Huskers visit Rutgers this weekend in Piscataway, N.J., for three games. The series opener is set for Friday at 2 p.m. (CT), Saturday’s game is set for noon (CT) and Sunday’s finale is set for 11 a.m. (CT).

Scouting the Kansas State Wildcats

Scouting the Omaha Mavericks

  • Nebraska leads the all-time series against Omaha, 59-9, dating back to the first meeting between the schools in 1897. The two teams were scheduled to play earlier this season on April 3 at Werner Park in Omaha, but inclement weather postponed the game.
    » Last season, Nebraska defeated the Mavericks in both matchups by margins of 3-1 and 13-2.
    » Nebraska is 41-9 all-time against Omaha at home.
  • Omaha is 12-18 this season with an 8-4 record in Summit play. Omaha plays at Creighton on Tuesday night before visiting the Huskers. The Mavericks won their most recent outing, an 8-5 triumph at Western Illinois before the rest of the series was canceled due to weather.
