Kendyl Hofmeister joins the Huskers as a freshman in 2018-19, looking to add depth to the team and compete for a top-five roster spot in Nebraska’s rotation.
Hofmeister played under Coach Jim Tesner, placing third at the boy’s state tournament and seventh and 17th at the girl’s states singles. She earned a spot on the Michigan All-Academic Team. She also won two titles from the Michigan Junior Masters Association. Hofmeister graduated from Garber High School in Essexville, Michigan in 2018. She graduated summa cum laude from her high school after earning high honors all four years. Her academic accomplishments also earned her a spot on the Michigan All-Academic Team.
The daughter of Dale and Lisa Hofmeister, Kendyl was born on May 2, 2002. Kendyl has one brother, Braedyn. She will be majoring in chemical engineering at Nebraska. She earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2019.
