Des Moines, Iowa -- After defeating North Dakota, 4-1, earlier on the day, the Nebraska men's tennis team (7-5, 0-0 Big Ten) fell short to the No. 46 Drake Bulldogs (10-4, 2-0 Summit), 5-2, on Saturday night at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Senior Toby Boyer and freshman Victor Moreno Lozano collected the Huskers' two wins of the match -- both lead Nebraska this season with eight singles victories each in the spring.

Boyer came back from a tough first set to defeat No. 72 Vinny Gillespie at the No. 1 spot, 2-6, 7-5, 10-7, for his first win against a ranked opponent this season. Boyer now holds an 8-1 record at No. 1 singles.

Victor Moreno also won in a three-set contest at the No. 3 spot, overcoming Barny Thorold, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to an 8-3 mark on the season.

The Bulldogs notched wins at the No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions, as well as the doubles team point, to close out the 5-2 victory.

The Huskers will travel to Lubbock, Texas, next weekend to face their former Big 12 rivals, the No. 32 Texas Tech Red Raiders. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 3.
