Huskers Claim Three Event Titles

Iowa City, Iowa - The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team claimed three event titles against the No. 10 Iowa Hawkeyes. Anton Stephenson claimed the floor event title (14785), Charlie Giles claimed the vault title with a career-high score (14.70) and Jake Bonnay claimed the high bar title (13.85). Iowa claimed first (406.700) and Nebraska placed second (403.550).

Rotation 1 - Pommel Horse

  • Evan Kriley led the Huskers with a score of 13.60.
  • Anton Stephenson and Khalil Jackson followed closely both posting scores of 13.10.
  • Mitch Tyndall and Josh Martin rounded out the team score of 64.50, scoring 12.45 and 12.25 respectively.
  • Griffin Kehler posted a score of 12.30 in the all-around.

Rotation 2 - Floor

  • Anton Stephenson paved the way for NU with a score of 14.75.
  • Griffin Kehler and Jake Bonnay weren’t too far behind, posting scores of 13.70 and 13.50 respectively.
  • Zach Peters added a score of 12.80.
  • Evan Hymanson rounded out the team score of 67.15 with a score of 12.40.

Rotation 3 - Vault

  • Charlie Giles led the way with a career-high score of 14.70.
  • Anton Stephenson finished strong with a score of 14.65.
  • Josh Martin and Jake Bonnay followed closely, scoring 14.00 and 13.80 respectively.
  • Zach Peters rounded out the team score of 70.65 with a score of 13.50.
  • Griffin Kehler posted a score of 14.10 in the all-around.

Rotation 4 - Still Rings

  • Jordan King and Josh Everitt led the way for the Huskers both posting a score of 13.70.
  • Austin Lober posted a season-high score of 13.65.
  • Evan Hymanson and Josh Martin rounded out the team score of 67.65, scoring 13.50 and 13.10 respectively.
  • Griffin Kehler posted a score of 13.10 in the all-around.

Rotation 5 - High Bar

  • Jake Bonnay led the way for NU with a score of 13.85.
  • Dillan King and Griffin Kehler followed closely, scoring 13.10 and 13.05 respectively.
  • Evan Hymanson added a score of 12.75.
  • Khalil Jackson rounded out the team score of 65.00 with a score of 12.25.

Rotation 6 - Parallel Bars

  • Evan Hymanson and Dillan King led the way, posting 13.90 and 13.80 respectively.
  • Anton Stephenson and Andrew Zymball weren’t too far behind, both scoring a 13.70.
  • Griffin Kehler rounded out the team score of 68.60 with a score of 13.50.
