Huskers Beat Bulldogs 4-0

Lincoln, Neb. -- The Nebraska women's soccer team began spring play with a 4-0 victory over Drake on Sunday afternoon at the Hawks Championship Center.

In the first half, Natalie Cooke struck first for the Huskers with a goal in the 12th minute. Brenna Ochoa extended the lead by scoring in the 37th minute. A great defensive effort by Nebraska kept the Bulldogs scoreless throughout the first half.

In the second half, it was all Nebraska again as the Theresa Pujado scored in the 25th minute of second half to widen the gap, and then in the 40th minute Dakota Chan sealed the win with a goal for NU.

The Huskers will continue spring play against Omaha on Sunday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at the Hawks Championship Center. Admission to all spring games are free to the public.
