One of the top young players in the state of Ohio, Chester Wickwire will join the Huskers as a true freshman looking to compete for time in the Nebraska lineup. A four-star recruit, Wickwire was ranked as the No. 176 recruit in the nation by the Tennis Recruiting Network. He was also ranked as the No. 4 player in Ohio.

"Chester is someone we believe has his best tennis in front of him," Nebraska Coach Sean Maymi said. "He has great quickness on the court, can finish at the net, and holds his position on the baseline very well. We are excited to see his progress."

Before Nebraska

Wickwire was rated as the No. 176 recruit in the nation by the Tennis Recruiting Network and was the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio while training at the Rashid Hassan Tennis Academy. He graduated from Mahoning Unlimited Classroom.
