Jahkeem Green was a late addition to Nebraska's class, as he joined the Huskers in the second week of fall camp. Green arrived in LIncoln after a career as one of the nation's top junior college defensive linemen at Highlands Community College in Kansas.
Green totaled 116 tackles in his two seasons at Highlands. He recorded 49 tackles as a freshman and made 67 stops as a sophomore, along with seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Green was considered a four-star recruit and Rivals and 247Sports both ranked him as the No. 18 junior college recruit nationally. He drew interest from many Power Five programs and was originally committed to South Carolina.
Green played his prep ball for Sumter High School in South Carolina. He recorded 88 tackles in his final two seasons with 12.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks.
