Stevens Named CS360 National Player of the Week
The honors keep pouring in for the Huskers soccer team. Nebraska senior goalkeeper Emma Stevens was named CollegeSoccer360.com's National Primetime Player of the Week as announced on Wednesday. Stevens was also named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week on Monday.
The NU keeper has been one of the vocal leaders of a defensive unit that guided the Huskers to a 5-0 road conference schedule. Stevens stopped 12-of-13 shots last weekend in 200 pressure-packed minutes of road action. On Sunday, Stevens became the all-time saves leader at Nebraska with 245.
Stevens is near the top of several all-time NU goalkeeping categories, including second in minutes played (5,518), starts (61) and game played (64), while ranking fourth in wins (30) and sixth in shutouts (8),
