Lincoln - After a morning press conference in San Antonio, Interim Head Coach Bo Pelini returned to Lincoln in time to lead the team in the second bowl practice. Coach Pelini said the Huskers had a spirited practice.
"It was a good practice today," Pelini said, "We weren’t in pads. It was short and sweet with good tempo. They were very focused. We’re trying to get some guys back from injury. We’ve had two productive days and hope to have two more this week."
Pelini said he is trying to get the team back into game playing shape, and they haven’t been working on specific game plans to face Michigan State.
"Michigan State has a great quarterback in Jeff Smoker," Pelini said. "We are looking forward to the challenge of facing a good team and playing well. We haven’t been focusing on Michigan State yet, we are just working to get back into shape."
